I made a post a while ago about creating an agar.io clone. Since then, I've put the project on hold for numerous reasons:

  • agar.io has improved the game significantly in the time it's taken me to develop my version
  • I did not using a game or physics engine, making the project very complex
  • Miniclip is being aggressive towards clones.

The current version still has its bugs, but the general concept is there. You can play it online here.

Moving on from this project, I am improving the stability and playability of my other game Tank Time, which is very similar to Wii Tanks.

Currently, I'm working on server physics with lag and latency compensation/ interpolation. I'll have a post up on that when I finally get it figured out.
